Magnetic trailer lights solve a specific operational problem: a trailer or piece of equipment needs rear signaling quickly, but permanent installation is not practical. The purchasing benefit is rapid deployment, yet the system introduces risks around surface compatibility, magnet retention and cable routing.
R-410C uses five magnets per lamp, a 7-pin plug and long connecting cables.
Confirm the Mounting Surface
Magnetic bases require clean, suitable steel. Aluminum, composite and some stainless surfaces may not provide secure attachment. Curved or heavily textured panels can also reduce contact.
A fleet should test the lamps on the actual trailer at the expected speed and vibration level. Operators need simple instructions for cleaning the surface and checking attachment before towing.
Why Five Magnets Matter
The brochure specifies five magnets per lamp. Multiple contact points are intended to create a secure quick-fit base, but magnet count alone does not prove holding force.
Buyers should ask for retention data or perform a practical test. Paint protection and dirt between the lamp and panel should also be considered.
Cable Length and Routing
The kit provides 7.5 m from the 7-pin plug to the lamps and 2.5 m between lamps. This can support many trailers without custom wiring.
The cable must be secured along the drawbar and chassis. A magnetic lamp can be installed in seconds, but an unsecured cable can still drag, snag or fail.
Four Rear Functions
R-410C provides tail, direction indicator, stop-brake and license-plate light functions. The lamps must be positioned with correct left/right orientation and visibility.
The 7-pin plug type and wiring standard should be confirmed for the towing vehicle. A physical connection test is essential before bulk purchasing.
12–30V and IP65
The voltage range supports common 12V and 24V towing systems. IP65 covers dust and water-jet resistance for normal service. It should not be described as immersion protection.

Magnetic kits are useful for recovery operators, trailer rental fleets, agricultural equipment dealers, workshops and temporary towing. Their commercial value comes from reusability and reduced installation labor.
They are less suitable when a trailer remains in permanent service and a screw-mounted system would reduce theft, loss or movement risk.
RFQ and Compliance Checklist
Confirm magnet holding force, plug standard, cable lengths, functions, voltage, packing contents, IP evidence and required approvals. The brochure does not list ECE numbers, so road-use documentation must be verified.
R-410C is a strong purchasing choice when speed and transferability matter, provided the fleet controls surface condition, cable routing and regulatory fit.
